I admit I am a bit insecure over my weight and perhaps that is why I tend to take any attention towards a partner as very personal. Even a friendly chat with another female (if she's thin and gorgeous) will get the green eyed monster started.

I wish I could be confident enough to just let things run off my back, but I do tend to obsess over things like close female friends. But it's just my lack of self esteem; the poor guy isn't actually doing anything apart from maintaining friendships. It's an area I know I have to work on.

I very rarely get jealous; not something I intentially do, just part of the way my brain ticks. If someone doesn't want to be with you, then don't want to be with you. No point upsetting yourself over something out of your control.

I think its human nature to flirt though, so I've never felt the need to get upset by that, which is good because I tend to do it myself. I just figure that if some woman makes a play for my man, and he takes her up on the offer, I am better off without him and walk away without a backward glance.

Yes but you aren't the stereotypical woman Benj. And no man in their right mind would ever get flirty with someone else if they had you on their arm. The rest of us mere mortals have to struggle with our self esteem and other perfectly formed women on a daily basis.
