May I say for the record that I don't sleep round, but I don't see why I should chain myself inside a chastity belt whilst not in a long term commited relationship either. I'm selective, careful and need something more than just physical attraction to seal the deal. I do however become irked when my fellow women see fit to look down their noses at me because I'm not sitting at home every weekend waiting for that mythical Prince Charming.

A manual WOULD be handy. Are there any figures out there indicating what exactly is the normal amount of bed partners for both genders in todays world?

I'd hazard a guess that what is 'normal' for a female is a good three times less than what is the acceptable 'norm' for a bloke of the same age. Might have a little hunt via google to see if I can come up with any hard (poor pun I know ) facts on that one.

A young male will exaggerate how many women he has slept with in order to puff himself up in front of his mates. A young woman will knock off a number of men on her tally in order to keep her reputation in tact. As adults does it really matter as long as it's consensual and both people involved are upfront and honest with each other?

I'm not saying for one moment that I would be comfortable dating a woman whose list of conquests runs into triple figures, but there is a vast difference between a woman (or man) with a healthy sex drive and someone who will jump anything that moves.

Yep, agree totally Frank. A happy medium is the way to go. Someone who knows what they are doing and comfortable in their own skin, but not jaded enough to be shown new tricks
